Fersk doktor i marinbiologi

Møreforsker Margrete har undersøkt om klimaendringer har hatt innvirkning på viktige fiskebestander i dypene øst for Grønland. I dag forsvarte hun doktorgradsavhandlingen sin i marinbiologi om emnet ved Norges fiskerihøgskole, Universitetet i Tromsø.

Margrete Emblemsvåg holdt prøveforelesningen Timescales of biological adaptation and climate warming – match or mismatch? Etter det forsvarte hun i nærmere tre timer innholdet i avhandlingen sin med tittelen Climate warming impact on the deep demersal fish community East of Greenland

Både disputas og prøveforelesning ble strømmet og tatt opp. Margretes forskningsleder, Liv Guri Velle, var til stede i Tromsø, mens andre kolleger fulgte det hele fra kontorstedene. Vi gratulerer Margrete med vel gjennomført disputas og doktortittelen!
